Oak Wall Mounted Signs

All our signs are made from hand picked Prime A Grade European Oak. The text is carved out using our CNC machine creating the perfect finish. Please note that as Oak is a natural timber the grain will vary from sign to sign. In European oak you will get a variety of grain changes, muldullary rays and small knots. A CAD drawing will be emailed after you have placed your order to show exactly how your sign will look, once this has been approved we cannot accept returns.

Our signs can come with a choice of ways to hang.

Pre Drilled Holes – These are drilled 20x20mm in from each corner on 140 & 180mm high signs. On the 70 & 90mm signs the pre drilled screw holes are centred.

Hidden Keyhole Brackets – If you choose keyhole brackets for flush easy fitting, simply screw 2 or 4 screws (dependant on height of the sign) into the wall that the sign will be mounted on and slide the sign onto the screws. (they need to protrude out slightly to fit into the keyhole brackets)

Open and Closed eye hooks -We set these at 50mm in from each end. If you want different spacing let us know.

Our pre drilled and hidden fixing options both come with A4 Marine grade screws. A2 or A4 stainless screws must be used at all times with oak to ensure black/purple tannin stains do not occur. If your sign cracks/warps or turns grey we cannot be held responsible for this as wood is a natural product. It may do this once exposed to the sun and the weather.

Our oiled oak signs are treated with Osmo UV Protection Oil to give protection from the elements.

As well as providing a waterproof finish It blocks the greying process with UV-Protection factor 12.

The oak posts are treated with the same oil as the signs. The posts will require some simple fixing to the sign upon delivery. Instructions are included. This is necessary for shipping.

With this option we apply 2 coats of enamel sign writing paint into the engraved text and borders.

Ash nameplate signs come with a variety of colour options which work well on the lighter coloured wood.

For the Oak signs we use black paint as this really looks stunning with this slightly darker timber.

The Oak signs come with optional, decorative, 2mm deep internal borders set around the text. The corners have an internal quarter circle bevel. These will be finished to match the chosen lettering finish.

We have selected the most commonly asked for fonts as an easy option to pick from. However if you would like a font we have not listed then please enter the font name in the box provided. We will contact you if we do not have this font. Please be aware, the more text you have the smaller it becomes, so choose the correct size!

We provide a number of motif options to enhance and personalise your signs further.

These are engraved into the wood and finished to match the lettering finish, painted or natural, whichever you have chosen.

By default one motifs can be selected and will be placed to the right hand side of the text. Please email us if you would like to choose a different location or more than one motif.

Delivery is usually 7-10 working days from confirmation of the image but in busy periods this may be longer. This information will be emailed to you with your CAD drawing.
